Vom \u00e4u\u00dfersten nord\u00f6stlichen Rand, der Insel Vi\u00f0oy, ersp\u00e4ht man die Nordspitzen der Nachbarinseln Bor\u00f0oy und Kunoy.<\/p>\n<p>Der Name Vi\u00f0oy bedeutet \u00fcbrigens &#8220;Holzinsel&#8221;, was kurios anmutet, da die F\u00e4r\u00f6er Inseln baumlos und die wenigen von Menschenhand angelegten Forste zwar durchaus sch\u00f6n, aber eher k\u00fcmmerlich sind.
